PETER SCOTT

Peter Scott now holds a Senior Intermediate Level 2 Iyengar Yoga Teaching Certificate which, he gained directly from Yogacharya BKS Iyengar.

He first attended yoga classes in 1977, and began practicing straight away. Whilst his first Iyengar Yoga class was in San Francisco in 1979.

After studying yoga teacher's courses at Ramishra Murti Ashram in California, and in Melbourne at Sivananda Yoga Centre and IYTA where he learned to teach Iyengar Yoga. Peter began teaching in 1982 at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, from where he also graduated in 1985 as a Naturopath and Herbalist.

In 1987, he started the Rathdowne Yoga Room Carlton (Vic) gained the Introductory Iyengar Teaching Certificate and first attended the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute in Pune India where he regularly studies yoga with the Iyengar family.

In 1992 Peter conducted his first Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Course - he continues to successfully train Iyengar Yoga Teachers.

Peter and his wife Sue (Junior Intermediate Iyengar Teacher's Certificate) moved to Noosa Heads in 1996 and started Noosa Yoga Centre. In 2000 Peter gained his Senior Intermediate Certificate directly from BKS Iyengar.
